Dear Rev Russell, this is on response to your message on August 31, 2025 entitled “Humility In The Kingdom” , Matthew 18:1-4. Dear Rev Russell, this is in response to your message on August 31, 2025 entitled “Humility In The Kingdom”, Matthew 18:1-4. As I was reading this message I believe the disiciples were focused on who would be the greatest in God’s Kingdom. They were focused on what was the highest position and made it a competition for promotions or the status they could have.when they did this, they lost sight of its divine purpose. Jesus used a child to help the disciples understand that “humility” is what they should have in the Kingdom. Jesus used a child to help thembe humble and sincere. Children are trusting by nature. They usually trust adults and with that trust they can learn to trust God and grow spiritually with their guidance. Jesus loves children and a yone who mistreat them and turns them away from Jesus will be punished. The disciples were taught that they must be humble and seek how they can serve in the Kingdom.
